The Inland Sea

With the exception of the rivers and the sea itself, this quilt was made from pieces of one fabric. I started cutting and putting to- gether pieces to get the colors and textures into a harmonious whole. It began to resemble a "map" so I added a "sea" and continued on down for another continent. Islands, lakes and rivers came next, always juggling textures and colors.
