The banners started with a challenge to work in a vertical format, 18" x 52". "Fire and Ice" was the first, and I found I liked working in that format. "Serenity", "Feeding the Pigeons", "Conflagration", and "Kelp Dancing" were made as a quartet representing "Earth, Air, Fire, and Water", and are all done in the Japanese Tokonoma scroll style with all being approximately the same size. | |
